What is Crossword Butler?

• Crossword Butler is an app for crossword addicts. It will download pretty much every crossword you'd ever want to do, right to the folder you'd want them. All puzzles are downloaded in the handy Across Lite format, so you can solve them with Across Lite (Windows, Mac, or Linux) or Black Ink (Mac only).

What is the current version?

• The current version is Crossword Butler . The list of recent changes can be found here. Also, if you'd like to be among the first to know of updates to Crossword Butler, you can either follow me on Twitter or join the Crossword Butler Google group/e-mail list.

How do I use it?

• Just double-click the icon! The first time you run Crossword Butler you should set up some preferences. After that, just run it every day to get your crossword fix! Also note: the first time you run it will be the slowest. It will be quite responsive on later runs.

Where did you get that icon?

• I got it from this site, which says they got it from Nuclear Designs ... but you'll notice that second link doesn't bring you anywhere. The first site seemed to say the icon was free, and a perusal of the Internet Archive seems to confirm, so I'm using it. If you own the copyright to the icon and want to discuss, please contact me.
